- All that you have to do is remove the poll code from your site. There is nothing you need to do on our site, your poll will eventually be removed for inactivity.
If you have a Pollcode account, you can delete it by clicking "Access Account Admin" area in the top right corner of our main page.
- After you finish creating your poll, we will provide you with a standard HTML code, the language that all websites are made up of. All that you need to do is copy and paste this code anywhere in your website's source code. If you use online tools and/or software to design your website and are not familiar with HTML code, please contact your website provider and ask them for assistance.
- Our service is provided free of charge in exchange for advertisements that we will place on your poll's result pages (seen only when someone votes, or view your poll's results). There won't be any advertising placed on your website itself though, only a link back to our site.
- When you create your poll, you can choose whether you would like to allow one vote per day, week, month or year. We use multiple methods, including cookies and IP address data to try to allow one vote per user. Although there is no perfect method available on the Internet, we believe ours is among the best.
- No, your poll can receive an unlimited number of votes.
- To try to keep polls more accurate, one measure we use is to allow one vote per IP address. If your network is set up so that all users share a single IP, and someone else on your network has already voted, only one vote will be accepted.
- Pollcode accounts are loaded with features! Any polls created in your account can have a link back to your site, you can reset its votes at any time, you can allow comments to your polls, you can delete your poll, you can even retrieve your poll's HTML code at a later time. Further, you can even upgrade one of your polls to our ad-free service for a very small fee.
- You must first create a free Pollcode account. You can do so by clicking "Create a Free Account" in the top right corner of our Main Page. You can only enable comments on polls created while you were logged in to your account.
- You must be sure that you are logged in when you create your poll. If not, it will be created as a guest. It is not possible to add a poll that was created as a guest to your account. You can always determine your current status by looking in the top right corner when you are creating a poll.
If you want to be sure you are always logged in, check the "Remember me on this computer until I log out" box the next time you log in.
- You will need to create a new poll, and copy the new code to your site. It isn't possible to change the settings of an existing poll.
- We regularly remove polls from our system that have not received a vote in over 30 days, in order to free up system resources for active customers. This is in accordance with our Terms of Service.
